I am a licensed clinical social worker and therapist who works with individuals and couples. Coming from a strengths-based perspective, I use a variety of approaches tailored to individual needs, including cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic, interpersonal and narrative therapies, as well as mindfulness techniques. Finding the right fit for a therapeutic relationship can feel like an overwhelming process, and I am committed to creating a warm and accepting environment for clients to explore the areas and issues in their lives that they came to work on. My specialties include mood, anxiety and adjustment disorders, chronic medical issues and life-threatening illness, life transitions/personal growth, women’s issues, relationship communication, parenting support, and other areas of concern.

I earned a Master of Science in Social Work at Columbia University and have worked in several major academic medical centers with children, adolescents and adults dealing with chronic and life-threatening illnesses. As a medical social worker, I have spent the past several years specializing in organ transplant and living organ donation. My experience providing counseling and emotional support to individuals and families struggling with health crises, chronic illness, grief, loss, and new transitions has informed my private practice, where I strive to make the therapeutic environment a place of acceptance and understanding.
