I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker experienced working with adolescents, teens, adults, couples and families coping to rebuild a meaningful life. I work with compassion, while acknowledging the unique experience of each person. My specialties are trauma, grief/loss, chronic illness, burns, new medical diagnosis, crisis intervention and end of life care. I also work with people coping with life transitions, PTSD, anxiety/depression, substance use, eating disorders and adjustments disorders. I work from a trauma informed care lens, and use a self-compassion approach utilizing Narrative therapy, mindfulness, strengths based, and interpersonal techniques.

Being a SCUBA Diving instructor, I saw first hand how having coping skills and techniques is vital to help someone survive some very challenging times. It encouraged me to pursue my passion to help others as a therapist. Following my MSW from Simmons College, I worked in hospital burn/trauma and medical services. Hospital work led me to work closely with patients and families during some of the most vulnerable times of their lives. I worked with patients across many economic and cultural backgrounds, which supported my interest to adapt my clinical skills to meet the needs of each patient’s/family’s style of coping.
